College Book Racker seeks regional sales rep to expand its market share among retail stores and chains in the Brooklyn area and potentially in all of New York. Company has a warehouse facility in Brooklyn, so customer fulfillment is rapid, usually within 24 hours. Rep will sign up retailers by phone or in person. Catalog sales with thousands of products at competitive prices. Once begun, subsequent sales are largely automatic, and long term commissions should become interesting even if first sales are small. All customer service handled by internet and national call center, so this is primarily a prospecting position. Ideally, the Rep will have existing relationships with retail apparel chains, and/or other product representation. Leads will be provided, but not pre-qualified, and only new accounts will be commissioned. Position retention based on mutually agreed performance milestones. Opportunity in this market is incremental sales of $1-2 million per year at an average of $10,000 annual revenue per account.
